Merseyside removals FAQs
The things people ask most before booking a house, business or storage job across the county — grouped so you can find yours quickly.
House & flat moves
Do you move houses across the whole of Merseyside?
Yes — Liverpool, the Wirral, St Helens, Sefton and Knowsley. A city terrace, a waterfront flat, a Wirral semi, a Southport villa. We survey the move first so the crew, van and plan match the property and the access.
Can you handle a Liverpool city move with tricky parking?
Yes. City terraces and flats mean permit parking, one-way systems and red routes, especially around the Georgian Quarter, the universities and the Baltic Triangle. We sort the parking, pick the right vehicle and time the load to work around the street.
Do you do cross-Mersey house moves?
Often — Liverpool to the Wirral and back is one of the most common house moves here. We plan the tunnel run and the toll, or the way round via the M53, so crossing the water is a routine part of the day.
Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
We do — beds, wardrobes, flat-pack and anything that needs breaking down to move safely, rebuilt at the other end. Blankets, straps and corner protection are standard.
Man & van, students & storage
What is the difference between man and van and a full removal?
Man and van is a driver and a van sized to a smaller job — a room, a few items, a student move, a collection. A full removal brings a larger crew, more protection and a survey. Tell us what is moving and we will point you at the right one.
Do you do student moves in Liverpool?
Plenty of them. Liverpool is a big student city, and a man-and-van is ideal for a move between halls and a house-share, a room shift, or taking everything home at the end of term.
What kind of storage do you offer?
Clean, dry, secure storage for households, students and businesses — a few boxes to a whole home, student summer storage, and business stock and records. Units are sized to what you keep, with an inventory taken as goods go in.
Can you do move-and-store in one booking?
Yes — move-and-store folds the collection, the inventory and the storage into a single booking with one team, so your goods are handled once rather than twice.
Business, cross-Mersey & coverage
Do you move offices and businesses across the county?
Yes — from a Liverpool office to a Baltic Triangle studio, a Wirral shop or a Knowsley industrial unit. We plan the move around your trading hours so the disruption is kept down, and handle the IT, furniture and stock properly.
How do cross-Mersey moves work?
Liverpool to the Wirral or back crosses the river. We plan the tunnel run — the Kingsway or the Queensway — and build the toll and the timing into the day, or take the longer way round via the M53 if it suits the traffic or the load. The water is not a barrier.
Which areas do you cover?
The county-wide L, CH, WA and PR postcodes — Liverpool, the Wirral (Birkenhead, Wallasey, Heswall), St Helens, Sefton (Bootle, Crosby, Southport) and Knowsley (Huyton, Kirkby, Prescot) — plus the wider North West.
Quotes & European moves
How do I get a quote and how quickly do you reply?
Send the details through the quote form — what you are moving, both addresses and anything that shapes the day. We read every enquiry and reply by email, usually within a working day or two. For business and larger moves we arrange a survey first.
Why do you not show prices on the site?
Because an honest price depends on the specifics — size, access, distance, a tunnel crossing, storage. A headline figure would mislead. Send the details and you will get a clear, itemised quote for your actual move.
Do you move homes and businesses to Europe?
Yes — European removals depart from Merseyside to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, down the M6 to the Channel. It is a long haul from the North West, planned properly, with the customs paperwork prepared for you.
Who handles the customs paperwork after Brexit?
We do. A move to the EU now needs a customs declaration and an inventory; we prepare the paperwork and guide you through what you need to provide. The international hub explains how it works.
