[ 01 · COUNTY KNOWLEDGE ]

Moving across Merseyside

Merseyside is a proper mix — a big city, a peninsula across the water, market towns, coast and estates. Each part moves differently, and cross-Mersey jobs are their own thing. We know all of it.

[ CITY ]

Liverpool, inside out

The city is Georgian townhouses, waterfront flats, the terraces of Toxteth and Kensington, and a huge student population. That means permit parking, one-way systems, red routes and the Baltic Triangle to plan around. We know the city so a move does not turn into a parking ticket and a scramble.

[ CROSS-MERSEY ]

Across the water

Liverpool to the Wirral and back is the classic Merseyside move. We plan the Kingsway or Queensway tunnel run and the toll — or the way round via the M53 if it suits — so the crossing is a routine part of the day, not a headache. Cross-Mersey moves are our home turf.

[ COAST & SUBURB ]

Wirral, Southport & the suburbs

Beyond the city it is a different job — the leafy semis and villas of Heswall and Bebington, the Victorian grandeur of Southport, the coastal streets of Crosby. Wider roads, drives and different access, and a longer run round the county that we come prepared for.

[ LOGISTICS ]

On the M57, M62 and M53

Merseyside is wrapped in motorways — the M57 and M58 round the top, the M62 east to Manchester, the M53 down the Wirral, the M6 for the long haul. It makes cross-county moves straightforward and gives a clean run for a move out of the region or into Europe.

[ 04 · WHERE WE WORK ]

Merseyside coverage

From the city to the coast and across the water, we cover the county's L, CH, WA and PR postcodes. Each district moves a little differently — here is how we read the main ones.

Liverpool

L1–L25

The city itself — the Georgian Quarter and the terraces of Toxteth and Kensington, waterfront and city-centre flats, and the big student patches around the universities. Loading here is red routes, one-way systems, permit bays and Baltic Triangle access more than open drives.

Wirral & Birkenhead

CH41–CH63

Across the water — Birkenhead and Wallasey terraces, the leafier semis and villas of Bebington, Heswall and West Kirby, and the coast. Most Wirral moves cross the Mersey by the Kingsway or Queensway tunnel, and we plan the tunnel run and the toll into the day.

St Helens

WA9–WA11

The old glass town to the east on the M62 corridor — terraces, ex-industrial streets and newer estates, with the A570 and M6 close by for the runs across the county and out towards Warrington and Manchester.

Sefton — Bootle & Crosby

L20–L23

North of the city along the docks and the coast — Bootle terraces near the port, the suburban semis of Crosby and Waterloo, and the beach at Crosby. Dockside access and the Dunnings Bridge Road corridor shape a lot of the logistics.

Southport

PR8–PR9

The Victorian seaside resort at the top of the county — grand villas and apartment conversions off Lord Street, suburban semis and coastal bungalows, and a longer run down the coast road or the A565 to the rest of Merseyside.

Knowsley — Huyton & Kirkby

L26–L36

The eastern boroughs off the M57 — Huyton, Kirkby and Prescot, a mix of estates, post-war semis and new-build, with good motorway access that makes the cross-county and out-of-town moves straightforward.

Wherever your two postcodes are, send them over and we will confirm the run and a clear price — cross-Mersey or across the county.

[ FAQ ]

Merseyside removals — your questions

Do you cover the whole of Merseyside?

Yes — the county-wide L, CH, WA and PR postcodes. Liverpool the city, the Wirral (Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, Heswall), St Helens, Sefton (Bootle, Crosby, Southport) and Knowsley (Huyton, Kirkby, Prescot). Cross-county and out-of-town runs are normal for us.

Do you do cross-Mersey moves, Liverpool to the Wirral?

All the time — it is a classic Merseyside job. We plan the tunnel run (Kingsway or Queensway) and the toll into the day, or take the longer way round via the M53 if it works out better, so the crossing is the easy part rather than a headache.

Do you do house moves, man and van, and business moves?

All three, county-wide. A full house move with a survey and a crew, a right-sized man-and-van for the smaller jobs, or a business and office relocation planned around your trading — plus packing and storage alongside any of them.

Can you help with storage, including for students?

Yes. Clean, dry storage for households, students and businesses — a summer store for Liverpool university belongings, the gap between homes, or business stock between premises, with an inventory taken as things go in. Move-and-store folds into one booking.

Do you move homes and businesses to Europe?

Yes — European removals depart from Merseyside to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, down the M6 to the Channel. It is a long haul from the North West, planned properly, with the customs paperwork prepared for you.

How do I get a quote?

Send the details through the quote form — what you are moving, both addresses, and anything that shapes the day like stairs, access, a tunnel crossing or parking. We read it and reply by email with a clear, no-obligation quote.
